Day two of #WintertideRising is concluding, and we have a bit of a shake-up on the leaderboard. Sammy Martinez leads, and kudos to second place rider Steve Beaulieu, who has racked up 12.5 hours in two outdoor rides here in cold New England. That’s hardman winter-riding for sure! Liz Gloggler is close behind as our top female rider. Keep up the great work everyone! For those of you keeping track at home, no one #BeatBigBen by going faster on the Tempus Fugit Zwift course. It should be noted that junior rider David Lapierre was just a half minute back, riding the course by himself. Nice work, David.
Tomorrow, Coach Tanner (of all people!) encourages you to step away from the competition and get out there and ride for the simple reason of getting a treat. Try to make it a 40+ mile ride. Word on the street is that Coach Tanner will be picking the best-photographed ride treat to be awarded a couple of bonus hours. So there you have it. Get out there and head to your favorite bakery, coffee shop, candy store, or pasticceria. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #WintertideRising.
