CCNS Coach David Martin Becomes USAT National Champion!
After months of burnout from grueling PhD data collection and long days fueled by excessive caffeine, David struggled with motivation and early mornings. Sleep was elusive, and tough workouts, like two sets of 60 minutes at tempo, felt overwhelming. However, finding a supportive training community made all the difference, providing the motivation and camaraderie needed to push through and stay on track.

Expert Training Tips from Coach Dr. David Martin
CCNS Coach Dr. David Martin, believes that true success stems from mastering the essentials—fueling, and consistency. “The best equipment can’t compensate for inadequate fueling strategies,” David emphasizes. His insights are deeply rooted in academic and practical expertise, having earned a PhD from the University of Connecticut, where his dissertation focused on the effects of creatine supplementation during heat acclimation. Under the guidance of Dr. Doug Casa, a world-renowned expert in thermoregulation and hydration, David developed a comprehensive understanding of these critical factors.
