Ride from Connecticut to the 2026 UCI Road World Championships

From CCNS Headquarters in Middletown, CT, to the international excitement of Montréal, join us for a truly one-of-a-kind cycling adventure. We’ll traverse the beautiful backroads of New England, cross into Canada, and arrive in time to watch the Elite Women’s and Men’s Road Races at the 2026 UCI World Championships.

This ride combines everything we love most about cycling, great roads, great company, great purpose. You’ll ride hard, recover well, and finish on the streets where the sport’s best will battle for the rainbow jersey.

Dates: September 22–28, 2026
Total Distance: 350 miles, 10,000 ft of Elevation
Duration: 4 days of riding + 2 days at the Worlds + 1 day Travel Home
Start: Middletown, CT (CCNS HQ)
Finish: Montréal, Québec, Canada

Route Highlights

Tuesday, Sept 22: Middletown, CT → Adams, MA
Rolling countryside to start your journey north, ending at the base of Mount Greylock.

Wednesday, Sept 23: Adams, MA → Brandon, VT
Classic New England roads through forests and farmlands, finishing in picturesque Brandon.

Thursday, Sept 24: Brandon, VT → Plattsburgh, NY
Ride across Lake Champlain with sweeping Adirondack views.

Friday, Sept 25: Plattsburgh → Montréal
Our final push north into Canada, and into the excitement of Worlds weekend! 

Saturday & Sunday, Sept 26–27:
Watch the Elite Women’s and Elite Men’s World Championship road races live in downtown Montréal.

Monday, Sept 28:
Return travel home.

Is This Trip for You?

This experience is built for intermediate to experienced cyclists looking for an unforgettable adventure and the chance to ride into the heart of the world’s biggest race.

Riders should be comfortable completing 70–110 miles per day for multiple days
• Average group pace: 13–18 mph
• Expect rolling terrain with manageable elevation gain
• Riders should have basic bike handling skills and comfort in group riding situations

The focus isn’t speed, it’s the journey. Our CCNS coaches and support team will be with you every pedal stroke.

F.A.Q.

When do I have to sign up?
As soon as possible! We coordinate hotels, meals, and logistics months in advance. Spots are limited.

What if I can’t ride the full mileage?
Don’t worry, our support vehicle is there to help. Most riders are surprised by what they can do in a supportive group environment.

What should my preparation look like?
CCNS coaches are happy to help you build the right training plan. Contact us to discuss your pre-trip prep!

What if it rains?
We ride rain or shine, barring dangerous weather. Bring proper gear and a positive attitude; it’s all part of the adventure.

Where are dinners held?
Group dinners will be hosted each evening at nearby local restaurants, with great food and great company.

Are there vegetarian/vegan options?
Yes! Please note any dietary needs in advance so we can accommodate them.

What is the cancellation policy?
Trip balance is due by June 15th, 2026. Deposits and fees are non-refundable.

Trip Fee: $3,750 (Shared Rooming)

 Individual Rooming Options are available for an additional $750 fee.

 A $1000 deposit on BikeReg secures your spot. Balance due by June 15th, 2026.
