F.A.Q’s

  • When should I sign up?
As soon as possible. Exclusive coaching and group communication will start in October. Don’t miss out. Lock in the trip and let’s get to work!
  • How fast will the ride be?
That depends on which group you ride with. Before the event, we’ll establish pacing groups based on rider fitness and climbing ability so that everyone finds the right fit.

If you’re interested but concerned about being able to hold the pace, email Coach Hunter and we can help you decide if this ride is right for you and, if needed, guide you on your preparation.

  • What if I can’t keep up?
Our goal is to put you in the right group from the start. Each group will work together and share the load. Stronger riders will rotate on the front, while anyone struggling can “sit in” more. You’ll have coaching support along the way to make sure you manage your effort and fueling.
  • How should I train for this?
We recommend completing at least two 6-hour rides during May and June. This ensures your fitness, fueling strategy, and bike fit are dialed in. Everyone is different, so reach out if you’d like a personalized plan — CCNS coaches are available to guide your preparation.
  • How are the logistics handled?
We will meet at the MA/VT border Friday afternoon. From there we will handle getting you and your bike up to the Canadian border for a very early AM departure on Saturday.
  • Do I have to drive home Saturday after riding 200 miles?
Not unless you want to. The ride finishes close to hotels in Massachusetts. Many riders choose to book a room Saturday night to avoid driving after such a big effort. If you’d like help arranging this, just ask.
  • What if it rains?
We plan to ride rain or shine. Only lightning or dangerous storm conditions would cause us to reconsider. Otherwise, the choice is yours if you’d like to ride, hold off, or cut your day short.
