Set The Bar...Measure Your Progress
The only way to really improve your fitness is to know where you start. Knowing your physiological parameters is essential for quality training and improvement. At the start of every training program CCNS athletes undergo testing in order to determine their strengths and weaknesses.
Complete Fitness Analysis
CCNS will precisely quantify every aspect of your current physical condition. A Complete Fitness Analysis includes tests to determine your Lactate Threshold, VO2 Max, Resting Metabolic Rate, Hematocrit, and Body Composition. Whether you are years into using a power meter, or just starting out with the goal of nailing your first 5K, CCNS can help. We love seeing athletes gain the confidence that comes from knowing what is truly important to getting faster.
A Glimpse of your Potential
An excellent way to determine current fitness levels and physical potential. When used in combination with a proper training program, VO2 max testing has incredible value in helping an athlete achieve his or her peak physical condition.
Lactate Threshold Testing
CCNS provides lactate threshold testing by a USAC certified coach to endurance athletes in various disciplines. Whether you are a rider, a swimmer, a runner, or rower, knowing how intense your training needs to be to gain the maximum in return is crucial. Through direct blood lactate sampling, your unique response to our proven testing protocol helps CCNS create detailed training recommendations and training zones. This testing session is the perfect start to an intensive training program and is included at no additional cost in all training programs started with CCNS
Resting Metabolic Rate Testing
Simple, yes. Easy? Not so much. Knowing your Resting Metabolic Rate and corresponding caloric needs is crucial to effectively and efficiently lose weight, gain weight, enhance recovery, and have more energy in general! CCNS uses advanced calorimetry to pinpoint your exact caloric needs, and we always seek to make sure you get going down the right path toward your weight goals.
Body Composition Analysis
Are you too heavy? Are you too light? Are you sacrificing power? In the quest for more speed, an endurance athlete often defaults to "lighter is better". With a Body Composition Analysis, CCNS coaches will help you determine your body composition and appropriate weight for performance AND healthy living. We will help you feel confident about your standards for body weight as we establish weight loss goals and nutrition programs.
For those that see success in the smallest details, CCNS is capable of providing Hematocrit Testing, Glycolytic Hemoglobin Testing, Albumin Testing, and Creatinine Monitoring. Learning the characteristics and composition of your blood supply provides valuable context to your unique strengths and weaknesses. Blood analysis is one of the best and most scientific ways to improve your training regimen to fit your body's specific needs.
