About CCNS Camps

The CCNS Training Camp tradition has helped countless athletes launch breakthrough seasons, and this mountain bike edition continues that legacy. We specialize in supporting athletes who balance training with the demands of work and family life. Expect epic rides, professional support, and guest appearances from pro riders that make every day unforgettable.

The Day-by-Day Experience

While each camp week has its own rhythm, you can expect a consistent flow and structure designed to maximize learning, recovery, and fun.

Daily Details:

  • Average daily ride: 20–40 miles, with longer endurance options up to 50+ miles. Most athletes accumulate 150–200 miles and 17–25 hours for the week.
  • Group stretching, activation, and core sessions for mobility and injury prevention.
  • Relaxed breakfast followed by a pre-ride briefing covering the day’s route, climbs, descents, and key features.
  • Technical skills work, including focused drills and application. (Rock gardens, cornering like a Pro, line choice, and drops)
  • Organized rollouts with appropriate pacing groups.
  • Evening clinics and Q&A sessions covering topics from race prep to mindset.

Who Should Join

This camp is best suited for intermediate to advanced riders comfortable on technical terrain. Pisgah’s trails are rocky, rooty, and remote. Ideal for confident riders seeking progression, but potentially hazardous for beginners.

Participants should be able to:

  • Navigate rock gardens and root sections.
  • Understand basic technical handling skills.
  • Ride safely in a group on challenging terrain.

Recommended experience:
Cat 2 racers and above will find this camp an ideal environment for growth. Cat 3 and novice riders should consult us before registering to determine fit and safety. If this camp isn’t the right match, we’ll recommend one-on-one skills coaching to help get you there.

Accommodations

Our home base in Brevard offers spacious, comfortable lodging with private rooms as standard. Shared rooming can be arranged upon request. Amenities include a game room and fire pit. Perfect for unwinding after long days on the trails.

Meals

Anyone that has been to a CCNS camp will attest that the carefully crafted meals could perhaps be the best part of the camp. For those with dietary requirements and preferences, throw us your best requests. We can handle them!

Weather

The weather is usually mid-50s during the day and down to the low 40s in the evening. There is always a chance for rain showers or the occasional thunderstorm. While slightly cool for road riding, it’s ideal mountain biking weather. Think tackier trails, comfortable temps, and crisp mountain air!
